Dermawand Or Dermarollers: Best Choice
Facial Rejuvenation Devices
With the recent arrival of derma rollers on the market in the past few years, along with multiple other facial rejuvenation devices, it's hard to know which to choose from. One of the most popular and successful devices for facial rejuvenation in the past decade or so has been the Derma Wand. Then, as I said, a few years ago, something called Dermarollers became very popular in the marketplace. So which is the best choice? The Dermawand or Derma Rollers?
What Are These Facial Rejuvenation Devices?
Dermawand and Dermarollers
Well, both the derma rollers and the Derma Wand are facial and skin rejuvenating hand held devices. Roughly six inches long for both products, the Derma Wand is electrical and derma rollers are manual. Both products claim to be highly effective in providing sustained facial rejuvenation and work as anti-aging devices as well for the well known positive changes they can have on our facial appearance.
Generally speaking, the Dermawand provides what's known as a microcurrent facelift by stimulating both the facial skin and muscles. With continued use, skin tightening and overall appearance of the face can be vastly improved.
Dermarollers, on the other hand, have been used (based on acupuncture theory and practices) to repair damaged skin not only on the face but anywhere on the body. Conditions such as cellulite, scars, wrinkles, acne are all addressed with dermarollers usuage.

Dermarollers For Skin Repair
A New Kind Of Facial Acupuncture
Dermarollers are truly amazing and most clever little devices. I first caught wind of them a little over a year ago. At that time, I'd pretty much resigned myself to having tiny scars or deep wrinkles on my face. One of the things that really bothered me most was the line going horizontally across my nose from years of wearing reading glasses near the tip of my nose. Sigh, another flaw. That's one of the reasons that dermarollers drew my attention so strongly.
Dermarollers offer the promise of scar removal and repair for many other skin damages in a highly simple but effective manner. They accomplish this by the use of micro needles that essentially penetrate your skin pores without really damaging the skin. Our bodies react by then attempting to repair this and put out increased collagen and elastin. New skin is then able to form in place of the previously damaged skin. Voila!
How Do These Devices Work?
Microcurrent vs. Acupuncture
These two products work quite differently although each claims to provide excellent results. The Derma Wand, as an electrical microcurrent device, gives off a series of tiny electrical impulses to essentially produce a powerful facial massage. At the same time, these impulses work to stimulate circulation and pull oxygen (helps cleanse and purify skin) and nutrients to the surface of the skin, thereby revitalizing facial appearance.
The electrical massaging action of the Derma Wand is said to be just about equivalent to a hundred times a normal massaging facial. As a direct result of this concentrated action, visible results are often seen very quickly. The tiny electrical impulses this device gives off (also known as micro currents) can lead to a visibly quick reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even after only the very first treatment.
Dermarollers, on the other hand, are manual hand held devices that have only been on the market for the past few years. These devices have a handle with a small roller on the end where roughly 200 mini needles are embedded. The science behind derma rollers is grounded in historic acupuncture study adding greatly to their credibility. By dermarolling or microneedling, these devices lightly penetrate the pores of the skin stimulating the bodies healing action thereby renewing the skin and often either minimizing skin defects (wrinkles, scars, cellulite, stretch marks, etc.) or eliminating them altogether.

How Do You Use Dermarollers And A Dermawand?
Microcurrent Facelift Or Facial Acupunture
Both of these devices are extremely simple and easy to use. Treatment times are also quite short. Dermawand treatments are generally about three minutes each and consist of simple moving the wand around your face in circles. A DVD as well as a user manual come with every Dermawand kit which clearly shows you how to make the most of the device. I strongly recommend you watch and read both.
Dermarollers are simply rolled back in forth in different directions over any particular damaged skin area. It's wise to watch a video and read all instructions that come with your dermaroller first however, to avoid overdoing it.
